The COVID-19 Management Guideline was jointly developed by the various Programmes within the Ministry of
Health, led by the Medical Programme in January 2020 as a response to the emergence of the COVID-19 cases
in December 2019. These guidelines were developed, and are updated regularly based on the recommendations
from international bodies such as the World Health Organization, CDC and scientific studies etc. The guidelines
cover all aspects of COVID-19 management, from case definition, screening, detection and treatment. The
document also outlined IPC activities and measures that can be implemented at the healthcare facility with the
goal of reducing the introduction and spread of COVID-19 to patients, visitors, and healthcare workers.
