MOH Hospital Laboratory data for COVID-19 was diligently managed from the
very beginning. Data collection on the number of tests done as well as inventory of
reagents and consumables from over 80 MOH Hospital Laboratories and Screening
Hospitals started with just one drive spread sheet system. Opportunity arose when
a local vendor offered to develop an online laboratory data management using the
CPRC Hospital System in March 2020.

Upon obtaining access into the system, the appointed laboratory liaison officers in
charge from each facility registered in the system were required to key in accurate
data by 12am every day. These data were then verified and compiled in the early
hours of the following day by the national level laboratory team members to ensure
true reporting and communication of laboratory data in National CPRC Meeting
daily. On top of that, the team was also responsible to produce daily reports on
inventory of reagent & consumables to be given to National Security Council for
monitoring of inventories and the planning of timely procurement.
