The Establishment of A Coordinated
Mercy Flight Service
MOH Medical Development Division developed a
coordinated and standardized pathway of request for
transporting MOH’s equipments and needs to Sabah,
Sarawak and Labuan states using the Royal Malaysian
Air Force (RMAF).
This team comprises co-ordinators from Medical
Programme, Public Health Programme, The Army as
well as each key person from Sabah, Sarawak and
Labuan.
The task of this team covers:
1. Liaise with the suppliers and ensure all the items
have been granted approval by RMAF.
2. Inspection at RMAF Air Movement Service
Warehouse in Subang a day prior to every flight
day to ensure every item received tallies with the
approved list.
3. Re-inspection and log check of number of items
before loading into aircraft as well as ensuring the
receival of items at states involved.
4. Maintain steady communication with RMAF
personnel for updated flight schedules and stock
arrangement.
