Management of Healthcare
Workers by CPRC Hospital
Services
An unknown pandemic of this
magnitude exponentially increases the
load on hospitals. This poses a great
impact on health service delivery at
various levels. Malaysia’s response
of detect-test-isolate-treat means all
infected individuals are admitted to
public healthcare facilities including
several aspects of health workforce
asymptomatic individuals. As such,
planning are considered when
developing strategies. This incorporates
number of facilities identified for the
management of COVID-19, the number
of specialized care units such as the
Intensive Care Unit, PKRC, as well
as the number of healthcare workers
(HCW) affected. This information
is crucial as the correct marriage
between the right facility and the right
staff mix impacts healthcare delivery.
